Feedback
We sent out requests for feedback from the reunion in order to help plan the
50th. We asked 5 specific questions, but a few people commented about the
bar so that's added at the end.
Time of year - is late August ok?
- as for next year I really would like it more toward the end of Sept or
Oct so can see the leaves. (Mary Jane Skaritza Dubins)
- The time of year is the best for me. (Shirley Craig Burgess)
- August works for us. (Carole Booth Smallacombe)
- Late Aug. works for me (Ruth Freelove Franks)
- Yes (Sue Wells Franke)
- time of year not critical to me. (Bob Wiseman)
- late August is fine. (Ramona Phelps Vanloan)
- Time of year is fine (Don Follet)
- THAT'S GOOD FOR ME; JULY IS NOT GOOD. (Sue Brown Byers)
- August works for me, but I'm flexible. (Phyllis Flynn Carneiro)
Venue - Elks Club again?
- Elks Club is questionable as the food was tasteless. Maybe look
into the Summitt or Green Gables where two other reunions were
being held. (Shirley Craig Burgess)
- The Elks Club was fine. (Carole Booth Smallacombe)
- The Elk's Club is good (Ruth Freelove Franks)
- Yes, it was fine (Sue Wells Franke)
- American Legion in Hallstead would be my choice, Judy Chauncey is Club
Manager. (Bob Wiseman)
- I liked the Elks Club. It is big enough to mingle easily. (Ramona
Phelps Vanloan)
- venue is fine. (Don Follet)
- THAT'S FINE (Sue Brown Byers)
Time of Day - Maybe 3pm to 9pm next time?
- The new time suggestion is great. (Shirley Craig Burgess)
- Later in the day seems to be better. (Carole Booth Smallacombe)
- Timewise 3 to 9 is a lot better. Gives us a chance to talk more
(Ruth Freelove Franks)
- Good, lots more time to chat!! (Sue Wells Franke)
- no need to stop at 9:00 PM. (Bob Wiseman)
- 3:00 is fine. (Ramona Phelps Vanloan)
- a little longer would be good. (Don Follet)
- I'M FINE WITH 5:00 MEETING TIME, 6:00 DINNER (Sue Brown Byers)
- I think having it longer would be a great idea. We all ran out of time
before we ran out of people to talk to.
(Phyllis Flynn Carneiro)
- there just didn't seem to be enough time to see everyone. (Bobbi
Kinsley Griffis)
- we all have the same regret - not enough time to really talk to
everyone. (Peggy Foote Colosi)
- My regrets are only the lack of time and opportunity to visit with more
of our classmates. (Mike Freeman)
Music?
- We do not need a DJ, I think people just want to talk and visit.
(Shirley Craig Burgess)
- We would not vote for music, not because it would add to the cost but
most of us just want to visit. Most of the music is
so loud you cannot enjoy a conversation (especially those with hearing
impairment such as Harold has, and several others
who were there at the reunion). (Carole Booth Smallacombe)
- I would be willing to pay more if everyone else does too for a DJ or
Band (Ruth Freelove Franks)
- I liked the CDs playing... not so loud we couldn't hear each other...
besides, most of us don't dance any more. (Sue Wells Franke)
- DJ with oldies would be nice. (Bob Wiseman)
- NO music! I heard some comments that they were glad we didn't have a
band. We are all getting a little deaf and our main interest is talking, not
dancing. (Ramona Phelps Vanloan)
- Music is not an issue for me though I think if the music is too loud,
you will be unable to converse. (Don Follet)
- DO WE REALLY NEED MORE NOISE IN THAT AMOUNT OF SPACE, IT MAKES VISITING
HARDER--SUGGESTION--SOFT MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND??? (Hearing is the first to
go!) (Sue Brown Byers)
- Music would be nice as long as it didn't blast us out of the place.
(Phyllis Flynn Carneiro)
Menu?
- As expressed above the food could be improved. (Shirley Craig
Burgess)
- The food was very well done and tasty. (Carole Booth Smallacombe)
- I thought the food was great (Ruth Freelove Franks)
- I thought the food was very nice. No need to over-do. Maybe another
vegetable offering?? (Sue Wells Franke)
- Nothing wrong with type of meal like we had, except for the cannon ball
rolls. (Bob Wiseman)
- the food was good but our table was the last one served and we didn't
get vegetables. (Ramona Phelps Vanloan)
- I think the food was fine. (Don Follet)
- MENU WAS DELICIOUS AS I AM SURE OTHER CHOICES WOULD BE ALSO. NO
COMPLAINTS ON THE FOOD (Sue Brown Byers)
- The food was good. (Phyllis Flynn Carneiro)
The Bar?
- The bartender was a little "shy" in his ability to mix a drink !
(Carole Booth Smallacombe)
- THE BAR, HOWEVER IS A DIFFERENT MATTER--SLOW SERVICE AND THE WHISCKEY
SOUR WAS NOT THE BEST. (Sue Brown Byers)
